Join award-winning world-folk sextet MZAZA for a rare and intimate evening at Brisbane's Thomas Dixon Centre, featuring brand-new songs in development alongside beloved favourites. As the band prepares for its next album, Songs in the Making offers audiences a unique opportunity to experience the creative process first-hand, with their reactions helping shape the music before it reaches the recording studio. Blending accordion, violin, shah kaman, double bass, percussion and guitar with expressive vocals in French and English, MZAZA delivers a rich and captivating world-folk sound. The evening also includes a special Q&A with the musicians, offering insights into their song writing journey and the stories behind their music. The Creative Sparks grant is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Brisbane City Council to support local arts and culture in Brisbane.
