Join Queensland Wind and Brass and special guests Queensland Police Pipes and Drums for an evening of Celtic music, colour and tradition.

Like threads woven through wool, Tartan Tapestry weaves together the music, myths and memories of Celtic culture in a rich and vibrant concert experience.

With soaring melodies, spirited dances and soulful laments, this program brings together concert band, bagpipes and voice, with each piece adding a thread to a colourful musical portrait of Celtic tradition and storytelling.

The programme includes:

· Highlights from Riverdance – Bill Whelan, arr., Johan de Meij

· Gaelforce - Peter Graham

· Three Celtic Dances – Brian Balmages

· Finnegan's Wake – A.J. Potter, arr. Sarah M Burn

· Irish Tune from County Derry – Percy Grainger

· Scotland the Brave – arr. Geoff Kingston

· Highland Salute – Michael Korb & Ian Macpherson

· Kirkpatrick Fanfare – Andrew Boysen Jr

· Celtic Carol – R. W. Smith

From the stirring sound of the pipes to soaring melodies and spirited dances, Tartan Tapestry celebrates the enduring music and stories of the Celtic world.
