Family Night: Shadow Puppetry

Inspired by the Smart’s current exhibitions, families will learn to transform seemingly simple elements of light and movement into lively shadow puppetry. With its millennia-long history, shadow theater has captivated audiences across cultures, relying on the maker’s hand to manipulate puppets and create the action audiences see. Families will design their own handmade shadow puppets and storyboards, bringing their characters and stories to life using both traditional and modern projection methods.
