Punk rock royalty comes together in Fake Names, a supergroup featuring Brian Baker (Minor Threat, Bad Religion), Michael Hampton (S.O.A., Embrace), Dennis Lyxzén (Refused), Johnny Temple (Girls Against Boys, Soulside), and Brendan Canty (Fugazi). Bringing decades of hardcore and punk experience into one band, Fake Names deliver a high-energy blend of melodic punk, post-hardcore, and classic DC/NY punk influences.
Drawing inspiration from legendary acts like Black Flag, The Clash, and The Damned, Fake Names turn their collective history into something fresh—tight riffs, driving rhythms, sharp melodies, and the raw energy that made punk essential in the first place.
For fans of Minor Threat, Fugazi, Refused, Bad Religion, Black Flag, and The Clash, this is a rare chance to see members of some of punk’s most influential bands sharing the same stage.
Don’t miss Fake Names at El Club Detroit for a night of punk history, serious musicianship, and no-frills live energy.
