Jarrod Walker

Jarrod Walker brings his distinctive blend of bluegrass, classic country, and alternative Americana to El Club Detroit. The acclaimed Nashville-based mandolin player, multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter is best known for his longtime work with Grammy-winning artist Billy Strings, but Nighthawk puts Walker’s own songwriting and musicianship front and center.

Walker co-wrote “Gild the Lily” with Billy Strings for the 2024 album Highway Prayers. The song became a major Americana and AAA radio hit, reaching #1 on the AAA chart and holding the top spot on the Americana chart for seven weeks.

Released in May 2026 on Walker’s own label, Nighthawk features 10 original compositions alongside Chris Henry’s “West Dakota Rose.” The album expands beyond Walker’s bluegrass roots, weaving together mandolin, guitar, mandocello, vocals, fiddle, pedal steel, banjo, bass, and drums for a sound that feels both timeless and fresh.

Joining Walker on the record are longtime collaborators including Billy Strings, Logan Ledger, Christian Ward, Jake Stargel, Royal Masat, Cory Walker, Jamie Dick, and Spencer Cullum.

For fans of: bluegrass, Americana, classic country, progressive roots, mandolin, and Billy Strings.
