Nino

On the eve of his 29th birthday, Nino is diagnosed with cancer. With only days to go before starting treatment, he spends a weekend coming to terms with the news. As he meets with friends, family, old acquaintances, strangers and even endures a birthday party, Nino reckons with the uncertainty of the months ahead while also opening up to new perspectives on his life, future and relationships. Despite the subject matter, this is a film with an elegant and light touch, exploring the protagonist’s internal life without dwelling on his difficult diagnosis.
