The programme focuses on quartets commissioned by Kronos, including Different Trains (1989), Triple Quartet (2001), and WTC 9/11 (2011).
As Kronos Quartet enters its sixth decade, two new members join founder and violinist, David Harrington, and cellist, Paul Wiancko: violinist, Gabriela Díaz, and violist, Ayane Kozasa. This new line-up carries the torch of progressive, contemporary chamber music that is integral to the Kronos ethos. Supported by their non-profit, Kronos Performing Arts Association, Kronos Quartet champions new music, living composers, and the education of young musicians across the globe.
