A former machine factory with a crane on its roof, run since the early 1970s as a cultural and community centre in the heart of Ottensen. Under the exposed timber beams of its hall it hosts touring rock, folk, jazz and singer-songwriter acts, plus readings, comedy, children's concerts and dance nights. The hall with its surrounding gallery holds several hundred people depending on the seating.
