A state-backed contemporary music venue (SMAC), L'Aéronef sits on the roof of the Euralille shopping centre, a short walk from Lille's two main train stations. Its main hall and smaller club room host rock, rap, electronic, metal and indie pop, from international headliners to local bands. It also runs club nights, exhibitions and off-site concerts across the metropolitan area.
