A former red-brick wool-conditioning warehouse in Roubaix's Pile district, La Condition Publique is now a large arts centre and makerspace. Its halls and covered street host rap and electronic concerts, contemporary art exhibitions, performances and neighbourhood festivities. It also houses open workshops, a fab lab and resident organisations.
