RIBA North, Mann Island, Liverpool L3 1BP
Tate's gallery of modern and contemporary art in the North, which opened in 1988 in a converted warehouse on the Royal Albert Dock. While that building is redeveloped, it is temporarily based at RIBA North on Mann Island, a short walk along the waterfront, ahead of its return to the Royal Albert Dock in 2027. The temporary space hosts small free displays, including ones curated by the Royal Institute of British Architects.
