Battle of the Organs

The Riverside Symphony presents an extraordinary concert showcasing the remarkable colors and character of the organ. Acclaimed organist Nathaniel Gumbs performs Francis Poulenc’s beloved Organ Concerto, a work of vibrant contrasts, dramatic power, and luminous beauty. The program also features Jonathan Mathis in a captivating concerto for barrel organ, offering a rare opportunity to experience this fascinating instrument in the concert hall. Rounding out the program are Beethoven’s Prometheus Overture and J.S. Bach’s beloved Toccata and Fugue in D minor. Maestro George Rothman will conduct this unique program.
