SOMArts is a nonprofit arts center in a former SoMa warehouse on Brannan Street, built around large gallery shows by emerging Bay Area artists and curators. Its annual Dia de Los Muertos exhibition is a local institution, and a smaller Ramp Gallery hosts solo projects. Openings are usually free or low-cost community gatherings.
