No Reservations Pay What You Can
Heather Luckhart is Toronto's blues belter, songwriter and bandleader, and after over 20 years on stage she's still just getting warmed up. A multi-instrumentalist with a powerhouse voice, she serves up rootsy arrangements and songs about resilience and finding light in hard times. She won the Toronto Blues Society's 2023 Road to Memphis, earning a trip to the International Blues Challenge, and her Toronto Arts Council-backed debut, Make it Through, has made the rounds on CBC, CIUT and jazzfm91's Gumbo Kitchen and international radio. Her unedited live album, recorded at C'est What?, drew praise in Maple Blues ("a fine singer with a rich voice") and coverage from SeeRockLive. Her and her musical colleagues just packed El Mocambo, launching a pilot night for the Toronto Blues Festival. Luckhart also has a music video on the way. Next up: the studio album Wild Women Blues, crowdfunding now. You can catch her performing and cheering on her local favourites at landmark venues in Toronto (The Rex, Grossman’s, Cameron House, Horseshoe…) when she isn’t on the road. Worth checking out!
Event presented by The Rex. HowDidIMissThat.com is an independent listing and does not organize this event.
