South Australia's main performing arts centre, opened in 1973 on the bank of the River Torrens beside Elder Park. Its Festival Theatre, Dunstan Playhouse and Space Theatre stage touring musicals, opera, State Theatre Company seasons, dance, comedy and concerts, and the centre runs the OzAsia Festival each spring and the Adelaide Cabaret Festival in winter.
