Blues on Whyte is the live-music bar inside the historic Commercial Hotel in the heart of Old Strathcona, a landmark of the Whyte Avenue strip for generations. Local blues, funk, soul and rock bands play most nights, and weekly open jams plus a Saturday-afternoon jam keep the room busy. Many shows are free, and the paid Friday and Saturday nights are low-cover.
