The oldest theatre in Bratislava, built in 1828 as a summer arena on the right bank of the Danube in the Janko Kráľ Park. Today it stages contemporary drama with a political and social edge, dance, film evenings and live broadcasts from the Metropolitan Opera in New York. The main hall seats around three hundred.
