Two former steel-and-glass market halls on Deichtorplatz, at the southern end of the Kunstmeile, now one of Europe’s largest exhibition venues for contemporary art and photography. The Halle für aktuelle Kunst stages large solo shows by international artists, while the House of Photography (currently in the temporary PHOXXI building) presents photography and emerging talent. Openings often come with live music.
