京都国際マンガミュージアム

A manga museum opened in 2006 by Kyoto City and Kyoto Seika University in a former elementary school near Karasuma-Oike. It holds some 300,000 items, with about 50,000 volumes free to read on its Wall of Manga, plus special exhibitions, artist talks, live drawing and kamishibai storytelling.
