A national museum by architect Fumihiko Maki, facing the great torii of Heian Shrine in Okazaki. Its collection of some 17,000 works is strong in Kyoto-school painting, ceramics, textiles and photography, shown in special and collection exhibitions alongside MoMAK Films 35mm screenings.
