A public theatre on Okazaki Park, opened in 2016 in the renovated Kyoto Kaikan designed by Kunio Maekawa. Its 2,000-seat Main Hall, 700-seat South Hall and studio-sized North Hall host in-house theatre and dance, big-name concerts, ballet and rakugo, and it is the main hub of the Kyoto Experiment festival.
