The national stage of the Lille metropolitan area, la rose des vents sits in the centre of Villeneuve-d'Ascq, a few metro stops from Lille. It presents contemporary theatre, dance and music with a strong European focus, and co-runs the cross-border NEXT festival each autumn. The building also houses the Le Méliès art-house cinema.
