A neoclassical building opened in 1923 on Place du Théâtre, the Opéra de Lille is a house without a permanent company that produces opera, concerts and dance. Its season alternates major opera productions, baroque music, contemporary premieres and lunchtime concerts. The horseshoe-shaped main hall seats over a thousand.
