Facing the Hôtel de Ville, the Opéra national de Lyon occupies a 19th-century theatre crowned by Jean Nouvel's glass half-cylinder roof. It stages the company's opera productions, the Ballet de l'Opéra and symphonic concerts. Below the main hall, the Amphi hosts Opéra Underground: jazz, world music, experimental sounds and student concerts from the CNSMD.
