The state institution for Korean traditional music, next to the Seoul Arts Center. Its resident ensembles (court music, folk music and new-creation orchestras) give regular concerts in the Yeakdang and Umyeondang theatres, and the site also has an outdoor performance yard, a salon and a gugak museum. Many rented-hall concerts take place here too.
