An Italian-style theatre opened in 1821 on Place Broglie, the Opéra de Strasbourg is the main house of the Opéra national du Rhin, which links the opera stages of Strasbourg, Mulhouse and Colmar. It presents opera productions, concert oratorios, recitals and evenings by the company's ballet, a national choreographic centre.
