Opened in 2010 next to the Omiya Bonsai Village and its nurseries, this is one of the few public museums in the world devoted to bonsai. Masterpiece trees rotate weekly in the indoor gallery and the outdoor garden, alongside pots, viewing stones and ukiyo-e prints of bonsai. Seasonal displays, special exhibitions and demonstrations by local bonsai masters run throughout the year.
Permanent exhibitions
- 名品盆栽のコレクションギャラリーと盆栽庭園(週ごとに展示替え)(masterpiece bonsai in the gallery and garden, changed weekly)
- 盆器・水石・盆栽を描いた浮世絵などの関連資料(bonsai pots, viewing stones and ukiyo-e prints)
