Italian-style municipal theatre opened in 1799 on the Coso, the city's great historic stage. Its season mixes drama from companies across Spain with opera, dance, singer-songwriter concerts and family musicals, plus a magic festival in December. Stalls and several tiers of boxes beneath a painted ceiling.
