The Maritime Museum of the Atlantic sits on the Halifax waterfront and tells the story of the province's seafaring past, from shipwrecks to the 1917 harbour explosion and Titanic recovery. Its permanent galleries are joined by a rotating temporary exhibition and a Tuesday-night lecture series. It is a provincial museum, free or low-cost entry varying by season.
