The exhibition galleries of the José Peón Contreras theatre, one of Mérida's grand historic buildings, run by the state culture secretariat (SEDECULTA). The theatre auditorium itself is closed for restoration after a fire, but the gallery rooms keep showing temporary art exhibitions with free entry.
