Carnival season in New Orleans runs from Twelfth Night to Fat Tuesday, with walking and float parades organized by krewes across the French Quarter, Marigny, Uptown, Mid-City and Algiers. Most parades are free to watch from the street. In 2027 Mardi Gras Day is Tuesday, February 9.
