Newark Symphony Hall is a 1925 landmark on Broad Street that began life as the Salaam Temple and is known locally as Newark's First Stage. Its Sarah Vaughan Concert Hall hosts concerts, musicals, cultural festivals and community events, and the building is in the middle of a large restoration.
