Diefenbunker: Canada's Cold War Museum

Built as a four-storey underground fallout shelter for the federal government, the Diefenbunker is now a museum in Carp on Ottawa's western edge. Visitors walk through the preserved bunker, including the war cabinet room and prime minister's suite, and see exhibitions on Cold War history. Guided tours, school programs and seasonal family events run through the year.
