Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA)

SMoCA is Scottsdale's museum of contemporary art, housed in a converted 1960s movie theater beside the Scottsdale Civic Center in Old Town. It shows rotating exhibitions of art, architecture and design, and hosts evening programs such as sound baths and a murder-mystery night inside the galleries. Outside the building sits James Turrell's Knight Rise Skyspace.
