Maurice Abravanel Hall, built in 1979 on South Temple, is the home of the Utah Symphony. The gold-leaf auditorium with its crystal chandeliers hosts the orchestra's classical, pops and film-with-live-score series as well as touring concerts. It sits in the downtown arts district beside Temple Square.
