San Diego Junior Theatre, based in the Casa del Prado in Balboa Park, is a long-running youth theatre that stages full musicals and family plays performed largely by young people. Each season runs from fall to summer with shows such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Holes and Mary Poppins. Performances are family friendly and held in its own theatre in the park.
