The Jacobs Music Center is the downtown home of the San Diego Symphony, a former 1920s movie palace rebuilt as a concert hall that reopened in 2024. The auditorium seats about 1,800 and hosts the orchestra's Masterworks, jazz, family and holiday concerts alongside visiting orchestras and touring speakers. It is a formal, acoustically focused room in the middle of downtown.
