Saitama Prefecture's performing arts centre, opened in 1994 a seven-minute walk from Yono-Hommachi station. Famous for the Shakespeare series directed by Yukio Ninagawa, it is now led by choreographer Ryohei Kondo and has a 776-seat main hall, a flexible studio theatre, a 604-seat concert hall with a pipe organ and a screening room for theatre, contemporary dance, chamber music and films.
